In the The Walking Dead, a Tv show produced by Frank Darabont and Gale Anne Hurd as executive producer is a show that takes us to post apocalypse struggle within many different characters. Throughout the lifetime of the show we see people change the way they think in order to adapt to the new devastating environment. An environment filled with infected people who are no longer alive but have turned into zombies. Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) is one of the characters we see change throughout the seasons of the show, as she leaves her old self behind and welcomes a new her. She's a woman who in the beginning of the show goes from being very selfless and dependent of her abusive husband Ed Peletier to a woman who starts to make her own decisions…show more content… Carol, Ed, Sofia, Lori and Carl get together. Carl (Chandler Riggs) who is one of the main characters followed by his father in the story, Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and his mother, Lori Grimes (Sarah Wayne Callies) is shown in the flashback facing starvation. Carol introduced the mres which is source of food to Lori because of the abundant amount that they had for themselves. However, Ed who was very controlling restricted Carol from giving the family in need. Ed being the controlling husband that he is did not allow Carol to make her own decisions. In the beginning stages of the show, we see how Carol shows no signs of a warrior women because she's being controlled by a man. A warrior women does not let a man control over her, especially her…show more content… In the following episode, you see Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) a phenomenal character in the show striking each dead body in the head with an axe in order to prevent them from reawakening. Carol insisted that she should be the one to strike Ed in the head, but instead she starts repeatedly hitting his dead body out of anger, letting the anger out on the man that that controlled her life for so many years. Furthermore, we start seeing change in Carols actions, though its not very noticeable, she's on the road of becoming a warrior women. After the death of her husband, Carol starts becoming more protective of her daughter sofia, not letting anyone mistreat sofia the way she was mistreated by her husband. In season two, episode “ What Lies Ahead” Sofia unfortunately goes missing after running away from walkers. She is then found as a walker in episode “Pretty Much Dead Already” walking in Hershel’s (Scott Wilson) Barn with over a dozen other walkers. After an attempt to run to her daughter, Carol's daughter Sofia gets shot in the head by Daryl, leaving Carol devastated. This becomes the turning point in Carols transition into a warrior
