A person’s musical preference, like most other things, is pretty much locked in by adolescence. What they have been melodically exposed to at that point pretty much determines what’s “good” and “bad” in their mind. I grew up listening to Blink-182. To me this band will always be one of my interpretations of “good” music. They embody my childhood, and listening to them always reminds me of growing up. Blink-182 changed rock in the ‘90s and they lived to poke fun at the seriousness of everyday life.
