Biscayne National Park, is a national park located in Miami-Dade County in Florida, south of Miami. The park consists of Biscayne Bay and its sea reefs. Almost 95 percent of the park comprises of water with a part of forest land. This beautiful national park covers more than 170,000 acres and includes the gold keys. Also, the park's main island is first of the Florida Keys. Biscayne National Monument was recognized during Lyndon B. Johnson’s administration on October 18, 1968. The boundaries were expanded in 1974 to include Swan and Gold Keys. On June 28, 1980, Biscayne was designated as the national park of the United States. Miami-Dade County is categorized as tropical savanna in the Köppen-Geiger system. Köppen-Geiger system is one of the most widely used climate classification systems. Seasons are divided into the 6 months of dry season ranging from November–April and 6 months of wet season ranging from May–October. In winters, season temperatures average between 19 and 24 °C (66 and 76 °F) with an average monthly rainfall of 2.1 inches (53 mm). I would love to plan a camping trip with my friends and enjoy every second of it. During the research, I found out that this national park actually comprises of two campgrounds known as Boca Chita Key and Elliott Key. Both are situated on islands, and the only access to these islands is by boat. This part just amazes me and show how much I am going to enjoy. Few general information I gathered to know ahead of time are, fees: $15/night/site, $20/night/site if we have a boat in the harbor. $30/night/group camp site. Also, camping and docking fees are waived from May 1 to September 1 every year. All the dues should be paid upon arrival. Sadly, there is no RV camping facilities available in Biscayne National
