Beowulf and Achilles have many similarities and differences however, each hero is unique in their own way. Considering that both of these heroes are strong, they are able to defeat anything that walks in their path. Both stories take place at different times in history, which adds an insight to how life was at the time. The two heroes leave behind an epic story composed of many fights, songs and tales of courageous acts. No matter what Hero you like, They’re are both powerful beings who leave behind an epic legacy however, they share different times and settings. The great warrior Beowulf was incredibly strong and fast at his time of glory. He was able to defeat many enemies including the evil monsters known as Grendel. “He had met a mans hands who were harder; His mind flooded with fear- but nothing could take his talons and himself from that hard grip”(lines 275-278). He fought someone who was stronger then anyone had ever met before. However, Beowulf being as great as he was, he defeated this insane power hungry beast. Achillies also is a great warrior who defeats a man known as Hector. He was blood driven because Hector killed his best friend Patrocolus. “ Achilles drove his point straight through his tender neck”(lines 165-166).…show more content…

" Their lord and leader, walked on the Mead-hall Green"(lines 597-598) Which described here says he is their lord and leader. Achillies also leaves behind a rather nice legacy by choosing to do good to hectors body instead of feeding him to bloodythirsty dogs. "As you wished, sir, the body of your son is now set free."(lines 433-434). Although He wanted to decimate his body, he chose the better path and kept his body sane.
