Two major British bands from two completely different eras have been the epitome of the sensation many deem “The British Invasion”, and this phenomenon continues to astound the world today. On the other hand the style, music, and various other details regarding The Beatles and One Direction differ greatly because they are both from different decades. The Beatles originated in the 1960’s, a time of civil rights, the Cold War, and many other historic events; whereas, One Direction demanded the world’s attention with their most famous song “What Makes You Beautiful” in 2011. Both groups are adored by their fans, and have enjoyed a great amount of success. However, because these artists are separated by a span of 50 years, they relate to and target different age groups for their fan bases.
