Autobiography Analysis

We have everyday interaction with God’s creation and in this autobiography I will attempt to summarize my experience with the natural world and how it has impacted my life. I was born and raised in a Christian home where I was taught to appreciate my surroundings and acknowledge God’s amazing Creation. When I think of my relationship with creation, it makes me wonder how I actually view it. Do I treat it as friend or a stranger? Anybody could say that they are friends to nature, but what does it actually mean? It made me think of what having a friendship with someone means. I look outside my window and I see the trees, I see the water, I see the sky, I see the sun and I think, what if all that wasn’t there. The beauty of it all has no boundaries. I have lived in many different types of ecosystems and all of them have unique beauty. I was born in Honduras, a country rich in biodiversity with ecosystems like tropical rainforests, cloud forests, mangroves, and coniferous forests as well as mountainous regions. I have had the pleasure of experiencing a variety of its biodiversity and now that I am reflecting on creation, it makes me realize how fortunate I am as any people live in the same place their whole lives. I also lived in El Salvador which even though its ecosystems are similar to those in Honduras there is also something that makes it unique. El Salvador being a really small country I am really impressed how biodiverse it is. One of the main differences between these two neighboring countries are the terrains and land, El Salvador being surrounded by volcanoes and having more humid climate than Honduras which is known more for its forests. It is amazing to me how unique these two countries are being so small in the same region of Central America. Now I live in Indiana where the ecosystems are completely different to what I was used before coming here. In Indiana you can see the horizon for miles because of how flat the land is and I honestly never had experienced more beautiful sunrises and sunsets then the one I have enjoyed in the Hoosier state.
