Vacationing in Australia is a dream come true! But the last thing you want is some spooky ghost haunting your beach, like he's straight out of an episode of Scooby-Doo. 1. Lizard Island, Queensland Lizard Island is near the Great Barrier Reef. You will discover some wonderful beaches here, and none of them are haunted. 2. Mandalay Beach, WA You might think that the dangerous and wild waters found at Mandalay Beach might be the work of some angry spirit, especially since there was a shipwreck here in 1911. But they're just the natural currents and tides. 3. 75 Mile Beach, Fraser Island Can you believe that someone actually measured this 75 miles long sandy beach, and they didn't discover a single ghost? 4. As you might expect, it used to be crawling with ghosts. But since Oprah Winfrey's visit to the the beach in 2010, there hasn't been a single ghost. Thanks Oprah! 5. Byron Bay, New South Wales Byron Bay is a town where you can take yoga classes on the beach, see fire dancers, and enjoy walking around a hip town. It does have a creepy lighthouse that totally looks like a place where a family of banshees would live. But it's inspected on a monthly basis, and so far there have been no ghosts. 6. Sunshine Beach, Noosa, Queensland This little beach is a hidden gem. Hang out at the local coffee shops and boutiques, or enjoy a quiet day of reading on the beach.
