In this essay I will be telling you about Asthma. The reason I chose to tell you about Asthma is because 2 years ago I battled with it, and I also have a close cousin who has battled with it. Asthma is very common among kids and young adults, but even adults can have it to. Asthma can make life very difficult. When you have Asthma you can`t do much exercise that get`s your heart rate up, and you have to have an inhaler with you all the time. Asthma is a disease in the airways that makes breathing difficult. When Asthma is present the air passages become enflamed resulting in complications such as coughing, shortness of breath, and the tightening of the chest. If the Asthma become`s severe enough it can decrease physical activity and can even make the person lose the ability to talk. Some of the symptoms of Asthma are: frequent coughing, especially around night time, shortness of breath, tired or weak when exercising, and trouble sleeping. Also the early symptoms of Asthma can often be mistaken for a common cold.…show more content…
An Asthma Nebulizer, or breathing machine, is used to get the treatment into the lungs of the patient by having the patient breath the treatment in. There are also pills you can take to reduce inflammation. To help reduce the possibility of having a asthma attack would be filtering the air in your home, vehicles, etc.., to get rid of dust, pollen, pet dandruff, and such. Another thing to help reduce a asthma attack would be finding what triggers you to have the attack, and once that is figured out you get rid of it, and then WOW no more asthma attacks produced by
