Artifact Speech Outline
A. Attention Getter: We all have a spirit animal. An animal that embodies who we are as a person. Can you picture yours in your head?
B. Reason to Listen: My spirit animal happens to be an elephant. As you can tell by my artifact. From listening to my speech I hope you can have a better understanding of who I am as a person.
C. Thesis Statement: Elephants represent many aspects of my personality.
D. Preview of Main Points: 1. First, I will discuss the fear elephants and I both have over mice. 2. Second, I will discuss how we both have strong family ties. 3. Lastly, I will discuss our love for drinking water and eating food.
A. Elephants are terrified…show more content… It definitely does not need to be proven by science that I am afraid of mice. I can tell you from personal experience that mice scare the life out of me.
Transition: Now that I have talked about our mutual fear of mice I will talk about our shared love for our families or “herds”.
B. I have a very close relationship with my family and elephants also form deep connections within their herd.
1. My family and I are extremely close. I text them probably once a day. It is important to me that I stay connected with them.
2. Like me, elephants have strong bonds between members of their family or herd. Research has shown that they will even mourn the loss of members which is a rare phenomenon in the animal kingdom. I like to think of them as like my own family having strong bonds for the rest of our lives.
Transition: We have talked about mice and families and now I will discuss food.
C. Elephants and I share another very important aspect of my personality, drinking water and eating food.
1. Elephants can drink 55 gallons of water per day. I do not drink that much water. I usually drink several water bottles a day though.
2. I love food. I eat everyday and so do elephants. They can eat 300lbs of food a day which is way more than I can eat but I still love
