In 2015, estimated total aquaculture production was 3.53 million tons, the export value was around 6,7 billions USD (Directorate of Fisheries, 2015). Challenges to sustaining the growth of the Vietnamese aquaculture industry include environmental degradation, fish disease, aquaseed, aquafeed provision and a lack of governance and regulation in production that can compound these problems and impact on market access.
