Anti-Heroes In Jumper And The Outsiders

Anti heroes in film and literature are presented in very similar ways. They can be in movies, videogames, books, comic books and even poems. The creators of these texts include extremely similar aspects and personality traits for their anti-hero characters. The character of the anti-hero is seen in the texts Infamous Second Son, Deadpool #1, Jumper and the Outsiders. Two connections evident across all these four texts are the connections of these anti-heros being reckless and not being accepted in society. All the characters in my texts are extremely reckless.They show this when approached with a decision or risky situation generally involving other people’s lives. When approached with one of these hazardous situations they do not care about the consequences for themselves or others. They take action and put themselves in peril as other…show more content…
This connection is seen in my first text The Outsiders through the character Dally. Dally shows recklessness when he robs the corner store after Johnny dies. Without any care for what he has just done, Dally runs into a field surrounded by police and pulls out a fake gun and tries to scare the cops. The consequence of this behaviour leads Dally to be shot several times and killed. This connection is also seen in my second character Deadpool. Deadpool shows his version of recklessness when he has located a briefcase that he has been looking for and finds out it has been boarded onto a plane. Without any hesitation Deadpool jumps onto the plane just before takeoff. While in mid flight he breaks into the plane, throws the owners of the briefcase out of the plane door, then sits down and relaxes while the open plane door is sucking
