Background: It is necessary to have the framework of the patient-nurse relationship for developing involvement of psychiatric nurses as a technique. Purpose: This article is aimed to develop a training program on the involvement of pyschiatric nursing and evaluate it following its implementation. Methods: A training program was conducted with 8 psychiatric nurses and the scales of “involvement” were measured. Then, the scale scores of 8 participants in the training program (the intervention group) were compared with those of 8 nonparticipants (the control group) before and after its implementation.
