“Let No Charitable Hope” by Elinor Wylie is about a woman reflecting on her life. Her existence on this earth is filled with ups and downs. Throughout her life, she endures many struggles. For instance, she deals with hardships because she is a woman and she has to work extremely hard to succeed. In the end, this woman lets the audience know that even with the difficulties she faces, she does not allow them to ruin her own happiness. (Wylie 204-205).
