The largest and most important lesson the modern man should learn from this pandemic is the idea of isolating airborne pathogens. Part of the reason the plague spread so fast was because people were coming in contact with sick people. The idea of isolating the airborne pathogens is figuring out the symptoms, figuring out who has the symptoms, then separating them from the non-sick population. Along with this it would be important to try to inform the public of what those symptoms were. The more people that understood what the symptoms were they earlier they would be able to address the issue. One of the biggest mistakes that they made was sending ignorant doctors to try and help.
