In a similar essay “A Memoir of a Bilingual Childhood” it is about a kid where his childhood was not what he expected mostly about his language, because it was kind of hard to adapt and fit in that kind of society, and especially when his native language is Spanish, he went to a school were all the kids were white. He did not felt comfortable in the classroom. The kid was known as a problematic kid.
The nun always keep eye on him, once he went to back to his home, he felt save because, all the people around him, they were speaking Spanish, also he felt that he fits with his family.
