I chose the “helping hands” or two hands holding to represent left ear to and symbolize the consideration that Frances has for her mother. The helping hands are a universal symbol to show helpfulness or consideration. Frances shows these traits, for example, when she tends to her mother after she cuts her thumb on a porcelain bowl to ensure her safety from the risk of getting hurt if she tried to clean. She also shows these traits when she assures her mother that she is still young and beautiful and sparing her feelings in consideration. I chose a lollipop to represent the nose of my portrait.
