Around the fall 1905 when high school and college players were playing football there were many injuries and death due to many players being targeted. Faculty and staff were split while football fans enjoyed what was happening, however the faculty of those colleges and high school did not. Next thing that would happen in the history of sports is getting one of our former president involved. Theodore Roosevelt had gotten involved because of his son being a football player at the Harvard University, therefore his son was always in the newspaper for being injured.
