Many children are produced in the world year round. Growing up in different regions they may be exposed to trauma or happiness within their families. Trauma can allow a child to have mental or physical pain, while happiness provides a child with love and affection. The book When Doves Cry by Keith A. Russell shadows the life story of a young boy named John Joseph who lives in Eight Mile Rock. The narration was done by John to explain the influences by many individuals that eventually led him to commit several murders. Within Eight Mile Rock there are houses built out of wood and properties that are compact. There is a difference between the buildings located in Eight Mile Rock and the buildings found in Freeport. In Eight Mile Rock they are built using wood and in Freeport they are not; this is because the Port Authority would not allow it.
