Tony Stark is the survivor of New York. When there is a problem, even the Avengers know he is there to help. Steve Rogers or Captain America is a little close minded to Tony's way for helping. Tony sees technology as the solution to all problems, which was what made him Iron Man.
A food shortage as come upon New York, people are starving. Tony’s first thought is to build a mechanics that use a pill that changes the molecular structure of the food, therefore increasing it in size.
