By reading this quote it’s telling me that men didn’t agree with the women staying with the children. The men were the leaders of the household so they felt as if they had to take care of the children and stay with their kids because it would just be right. When Machi states “ You might as well say that the women lies on top of the man when they are making children.” Goes to show you how the men need to be noticed and viewed as the ones that are in control and the one that has the say rather then, the women being in control because it just doesn’t roll like
