Tell-Tale Heart is more suspenseful than The Monkey’s Paw due to indecisiveness. For example, in the Tell-Tale Heart in paragraph 11 it states,’’He shrieked once--once only. In an instant I dragged him to the floor, and pulled the heavy bed over him.’’ (Poe 2) supporting this evidence to state my claim, in the beginning of the story in paragraph 1 it states, ‘’I heard all things in heaven and hell.’’(Poe 1) This clearly shows the mindset of the man and what possible decisions he will make in the future.
