In this chapter “Understanding Style: Realism” Stephanie Arnold brings up a very effective aspect of theatre called realism. Konstantin Stanislavsky had to create an internal acting method because of the movement towards realism. This was necessary because with theatre, adding ideas to make the plays more realistic they needed a new acting method in order to make that happen on stage. The realism cannot just be thought of and implemented into performances it takes lots of practice to accomplish. Like anything else something is done and improved through rehearsal with a set schedule.
