The article “ Sincerely, George Walton of Meadow Garden” is about how freelance writer, Jackie Perrone, visited Meadow Garden, the house once owned by declaration signer, George Walton. The article starts off with Jackie talking about how the Meadow Garden house is overseen and maintained the Daughters of the American Revolution, then goes on to explain who George Walton is and why he is so important to Georgia’s Revolutionary history, such as how he was appointed to the Continental Congress in 1776 and signed the Declaration of Independence on July 4. He also joined the militia, but after being captured and released by the British he became Georgia’s Governor. However, after fifteen years he became the United States Senator and passed away
