Lionel G. Garcia, the author of “Baseball” wrote a quote that said “My job as a writer is to try with all the talent I have to make every novel I write a classic. The important thing for a writer is what he leaves behind. It must be good. Nothing else matters. ” I think the author’s purpose to his writing of Baseball was to share the memories the author had as a child, and to give the reader an inside look into the past.
