When Abigail wrote in her letter to John Adams in her letter she was expressing her desire for women’s rights and how she was willing to fight for the equality of the sexes. What Abigail is trying to say through this line in her letter is in regards to the dilemma of revolutionaries because while fighting to gain their own power from King George III, people were concerned that another ruler would take over in the colonies. Anti-federalists were afraid of another ruler taking over or a group of men gaining too much power and taking over. This is why the Bill of Rights was added in 1791.
