Star Parker view of entitlement and dependence on the government is that it is harmful to the recipients. She believes it encourages broken families and does not improve the status of many poor families. Apparently these programs don’t actually work for the poor-there are over 4,000 housing programs. People just become addicted and dependent on these programs and can’t help but rely on them after getting so comfortable. The community as a whole becomes destroyed. I agree with Star Parker. I believe that these programs are providing too much. These programs make the poor become so dependent that they themselves don’t try to change so that they can get stable enough to rid of the assistance.
