Singer-Songwriter Amani the Artist makes sassy, infectious pop melodies that showcase her cool singing style. Following the death of her father in 2008, her doctor recommended seeking counseling for depression. However, Amani’s mother suggested she’d write her feelings instead and that’s how she begin writing music. The New York University student released both the "Good Girls" single and a 2010 mixtape under the name, Hollee Wood.
