The items I selected were a Gilded Silver Bowl and a Silver Beaker. The items tell us that everyday life in the Hellenistic Age was one of wealth. Even when the towns were known for being poor, that did not stop them from owning and using fine items such as the bowl and or beaker. These bowls are both decorated with nature themes, flowers to be exact. This seems to be a common theme with art created in this time. Creators of the art might have wanted to seem more Greek, since these bowls were made somewhere else. I chose these pieces because of their similar theme of nature and same use of Silver to make the final product. These were made during a time when Silver and Gold were more available than they usually were. Which would make sense for
