Although a dog would not be considered out of the ordinary to most people, the first dog I ever owned, Shadow, was not an everyday pooch. Shadow was a black Pomeranian that seemed normal at first glance; however, it did not take long to realize that he despised all women. As soon as a female entered Shadow’s view, he would instantly begin yapping away. Despite being frightening at first, Shadow was no threat to the target of his racket. He so feared females that if one came over to visit the house, he would hide under a bed until she left.
