The discourse community I chose to analyze is rugby. Rugby is basically another form of football. It is a game that consists of two teams, each containing 15 active players, playing with an oval shaped ball on a field containing goalposts that are a H shape. Many Americans do not know much about rugby because we are highly focused on football. Rugby teams share many of the same characteristics as other sports teams. These characteristics include the players having a specific language, leadership roles, and teamwork. These characteristics help express Rugby as a discourse community. I do not know much about rugby but I am intrigued by it because it is such a fast and aggressive sport. If I had to explain rugby to someone I would say it is an
