Rosemont College’s mission statement draws upon the ideologies and principles of the Catholic faith and Cornelia Connelly, founder of the Society of the Holy Child Jesus. Since Rosemont College’s founding in 1921, its goal has been to enact this mission statement in not just the day-to-day operations of the school, but to have each student reflect and act upon it by the time he or she receives their diploma. Since arriving at Rosemont College, I have felt the affects of this goal and have seen it successfully accomplished in the students, teachers, and administrative members who have entered my life since beginning college. It is because of this, that I am able to uphold, enact and reflect upon Rosemont's mission statement while also developing one of my own.…show more content… Even though I have not even taken my first midterm exam, I have experienced this joy first hand through my classes. Rosemont has provided a space where I am able to grow academically, and develop my own opinions and critical reasoning skills. Here I am encouraged to ask questions, connect what I have learned to outside material, and determine what I am excited to learn about. Before I officially decided to come to Rosemont, I toured the campus. There, I talked to many students, many of whom told me that their favorite part about this school was the small class sizes and the one-on-one time they are able to have with their professors. I did not realize just how true this statement was until I stepped into my first class last month. I believe that this allows for an environment that allows for joyful learning. Because each professor shows so much passion towards the subject they teach, it inspires me as a student to become excited as
