Breakdancing, also known as B-boying is a type of street dances. Breakdancing started in 1969,”That was the year that James Brown recorded "Get on the Good Foot," a song that inspired an acrobatic dance based on the high energy moves that Brown performed on stage. Soon, kids in New York were doing the Good Foot -better known as B-Boy(short for Break Boy)- which was the direct precursor to the sort of breakdancing we know today.“ And this is how Breakdancing originated. (1) Breakdancing consists of four major movement: top-rock, down-rock, freeze and power moves. Top rock is set of moves performed in a stand up position, down rock is usually performed on the floor with hands to support the dancer. Freeze is typically used at the end, is each break dancer's “pose” to end his set. Power moves are typically acrobatic moves, and these moves are generally the key to determine the winner in a battle. Dancers usually danced to hip-hop musics and breakbeats, however modern breakdancing allow dancers to dance to music with variety of tempo and beats, allowing them to create their own dance moves. The first official B-boy crew was introduced in 1696 called the Zulu kings, they were once challenged by a street gang dance team.
