Throughout high school my most challenging habit to overcome was procrastination, whether it be just getting up in the morning or just getting a jump start on my homework I continuously found an excuse to do it a little later. Of course as I continued my high school career it proceeded to become more challenging to complete homework or actually show up to class.
In relation to The Power of Habit’s study of “cue, routine, reward,” The thought of sleeping in past my alarm was my cue. Every morning it seemed like an amazing idea, but knowing it was not the right choice I proceeded to do it anyways. The growing intensity of the beeps of the alarm did not faze me anymore, it began to be nothing but another noise.
The result from my cue made my
