Banned Books Many years, a lot of great books get banned all because some people can’t handle the way they’re written. Whether it has to do with religion, racism, etc. I’m pretty sure with most books, if you look them up, they will say what it has to do with or what it’s about. There is no valid reason for people to ban them, the book itself will explain what it has in it. Most books are rated, like Fiction, Young Adult, Non-Fiction, if you know you don’t like or would want to read Young Adult books don’t read them! Just leave them alone! The Authors of those books worked so hard to write them and to get them published, and then some ignorant person comes and bans they’re book! Such good work gone to waste. The Perks Of Being A Wallflower is, in my opinion, an awesome movie! I did not read the book, but I found out that it got banned. Now, this wonderful piece of art was banned because of profanities, sexual references, cheating, and abuse. But this book is rated 14+ which I guess you can label that as Young Adult, many high schools are required to read it. The summary that I read on maguzz.com was “Based on the times of the Jazz age, Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, lives his life trying to win the heart of the love of his life. Daisy Buchanan, with Nick Carraway acting as the chorus of this novel. Money, greed, and the promise of new beginnings, Gatsby’s rise to glory and eventual fall from grace, becomes a kind of cautionary tale about the American Dream.”. So the book doesn’t say or advertise that, sex and bad language won’t be spoken of in the book, but, it is still rated as Young Adult! Which means that any book that is labeled with that, may contain sexual content, drugs and alcohol, and mature explicit content. So your argument is
