"The only thing constant in life is change." Most people have at least one specific moment in their lives that make them re-evaluate their purpose in life. It hit me when I went to church camp. It made me realize I need to give my life to the Lord and follow his footsteps as he leads me in the right direction. Before M.O.V.E., it seemed like all I could do right was run away from all my problems. I noticed myself becoming someone whom I told myself I'd never be. I needed change. Dan McGrew is the man who introduced me to the Lord and kept my head straight when things were going down hill. When I arrived at M.O.V.E., I was very unsure as to why I was here and what the point of being here was. I was ready to leave and we had just gotten there. Fast forwarding four days in, I walked into Hope College's Auditorium (this was where all of our sermons/lessons were held) and it was just the usual morning for me. I was tired, sleepy and just ready to go eat breakfast afterwards when, all of a sudden, Coach Mike Smith came up to me and wrapped his arms around me and held me like it was the last hug he'd ever give and he said, "I am very proud of you for coming here and listening to what the Lord has to say. Listen to him and he will guide you into being who you want to be come and I promise you, you want what he has to give." It was that very moment that I knew I needed to change my lifestyle and become a follower of Christ. Ironically, that night's sermon was about "Forgiveness and Renewal."
