The scholarly significance of the research results is that they will define the place of onomatopoeic verbal interjections from semiotic (semantic, pragmatic and syntagmatic) and epistemological perspectives in structure of the Russian language, specify grammatical classification of the language units being studied; substantiate the motivation of the punctuation signs with onomatopoeic verbal interjections from semiotic (semantic, pragmatic and syntagmatic) and epistemological points of view taking into consideration their function in discourse.
