Have you ever felt melancholic and couldn’t express or show anyone. Most of the pop icons are exposed to society with an expected characteristic. Marilyn Monroe is also known as Norma Jeane Mortenson; June 1, 1926 was the beginning of an adventurous life that ended in a tragic death on Sunday, August 5, 1962. This 36-year old had a very troubled childhood, which could've caused her to turn her life into a positive and achieving woman. She was the famous and popular female actress of her time and is still loved by millions of people around the world especially in the United States. To this day we see her face, her eyes, her lips in various photos. “There are thousands of photographs of this icon.” (Buchthal, viii) Among her possessions passed down to the Strasberg, included pictures, dresses, papers and others. “Marilyn Monroe fragments” book is a collection of these texts and photos available.
