My Interview With Barb's Autobiography

“College helped me learn that hard work and dedication pays off.” I got the chance to interview Barb Curry. Barb attended Southwestern Community College in Osceola, Iowa for two years. In those two years she accomplished to earn a minor in accounting and a major in business administration. When I interviewed Barb she seemed more than happy to tell me about her college experience and how it helped her further her life. Barb faced many obstacles she learned to overcome. She shows great perseverance and dedication to her college learning. “It (college) showed me I could push myself beyond my hopes and dreams.” said Barb happily regarding how college impacted her life. When I was interviewing Barb she told me how she had to work and go to school at the same time. She mentioned that it got hard at times but, she worked through it. “I had to also study a lot! I remember that I studied more than I probably did anything else.” She worked very hard to get to where she is today and her hard work and dedication proves it.…show more content…
She looked at me and responded excitedly explained how she was older in college and everybody else was young around her. She started by saying” When I was in college being old wasn’t the norm though. College didn’t really effect my maturity because I was older but, showed me more responsibility. But, college help get a degree so I could land a good job.” Barb also commented on how she worked and went to school. “I wanted to go to a college close to home.” she commented. She ended up going to a college close to home so she could balance going to school and working. The twenty minute drive was really convenient for her. Barb also included “College helped me learn that hard work and dedication pays off.” She showed me that you are more responsible, helpful and you mature during and after your college
