The research and development that led to the scientists creating a vaccine for the MEV-1 virus is a bit unrealistic. There is no possible vaccine able to counteract the Nipah virus but in contagion Dr. Hextall was able to develop a vaccine in twenty-three days that worked on just one monkey.
