2.0 Literature Review WRITE STATEMENT WHEN DONE 2.2 Lee Harvey Oswald It was believed that Lee Harvey Oswald killed to John F. Kennedy due to frustration and personal failure, he had no ties with the government of United States and other governments, and finally, he had no ties with Jack Ruby as well. (Knight, 2003) There were a few reasons to why Lee Harvey Oswald assassinated John F. Kennedy. Below are the several reasons: 2.2.1 Troubled Childhood Oswald was born on October 18, 1939 at New Orleans. Oswald’s father passed away in Oswald’s early childhood. His brother, Robert, stated that his mother was difficult when things did not go her way whereas his half-brother, John Pic, mentioned that there was no motherly love at home. Oswald was moved into an orphanage with his brothers when he was three. Later on, his mother, Marguerite, checked them out and moved to Dallas where she remarried. Oswald shifted schools plenty of times and schoolmates picked on him. When Oswald’s mother filed for a divorce, Oswald became very withdrawn. Oswald’s psychiatrist reported that Oswald was unhappy with himself and he can only be happy by not competing with others or reveal he needs and wants. Other than that, it was also mentioned in the report that he builds a fantasy world to escape from frustration. Some of the behaviors of a person with Antisocial Personality Disorder were shown in Oswald.
