From Larry Bird to Scottie Pippen, the NBA has given us an elite group of small forwards throughout history. In today’s NBA, there is a plethora of ultra-talented players who all are great fantasy basketball options for 2015-16. Oklahoma City star, Kevin Durant is by far the favorite to be this season’s top producing fantasy small forward. Durant does have a group of guys who are hot on his trail to be the number one player, though.
Here are my top four small forwards for the 2015-16 season:
Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City Thunder
Kevin Durant is by far one of my favorite players to watch on the basketball court. His game is at such a high level that very few other NBA players could replicate it, so he is my favorite small forward this season.…show more content… If there ever was anyone who is as close to Durant’s talent, it’s LeBron James. In his first year back in Cleveland, he averaged 25.3 points, 7.4 assists and 6.0 rebounds in 36.1 minutes per game. James also shoots 49 percent from the field and averaged right at 8.5 free-throw attempts per contest for his career.
James does have one thing on Durant, he’s a two-time NBA champion! He is a bonified winner on the basketball court and without a doubt will lead your team to fantasy glory as well. James is considered one of the most beloved NBA players in the league today and should be welcomed with open arms on your fantasy basketball squad. Draft James with a top-five pick and bask in the glory of having the king on your…show more content… He’s quickly become a favorite for fantasy owners who don’t nab Durant or James in their drafts. Last season, Leonard averaged 16.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.3 steals per game. He also shot a cool 47 percent from the field and 80 percent from the free-throw line. Every one of his stats has increased each season that he has played at the professional level.
Leonard is a spectacular fit in Greg Popovich’s offensive game plan and will be a good fit on your fantasy team. This Spurs’ team is primed for another great run in 2015-16 and Leonard will be one of the key players to grab in your upcoming fantasy drafts. In most mock drafts that I’ve seen this off-season, he almost always goes at the end of the 1st Round. Take him there with confidence, grab a talented big man on the turn and enjoy a solid fantasy basketball season!
