Introduction
Juergen Teller was born in Erlangen, Germany in 1964. He began his career as a photographer after training for two years. He developed an interest in portraiture. Then he went to London to escape national service. Teller started his career in 1986 photographing musicians. After meeting Venetia Scott he started to do fashion. Teller did his first shoots for youth magazines, knowing next to nothing about fashion. By the 1990s Teller was an important role of the fashion scene.

Teller has worked alongside many other famous photographers and has been know to collaborate on projects quite a bit. He is widely recognized as one of the most popular contemporary fashion photographers in spite of his “bad boy” reputation in the world of fashion.
Juergen Teller was born in 1964 in Erlangen, Germany. After developing an allergy to the wood they used, Teller quit the family business of bridge-making for violins and turned to photography. From 1984 to 1986 he studied photography at the Photodesign Academy of Munich (the “Bayerische Staatslehranstalt für Photographie”). In order to avoid joining the german military, the national service, he learned english and moved to London at the age of 22. In 1986 he began his career photographing celebrities from the world of music such as, Elton John and Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic,and Dave Grohl of
