Things that led up the John F. Kennedy’s 1961 Inaugural Address In 1953, President Eisenhower made it known that the hydrogen bomb had been developed. The hydrogen bomb is a VERY powerful bomb that comes from the rapid release of energy, that during the nuclear fusion of isotopes of hydrogen using an atom bomb as a trigger for the explosion. This bomb was used for the cold war. On May 17, 1954, the racial segregation in public schools, was declared unconstitutional. The Supreme Court issued the Brown vs. Board of Education Of Topeka ruling. Also, the vaccination against polio, in children was the first large scale vaccination.
