Epigenetics Review
1. Epigenetics is the study of genes on how they alter to an environmental response. On the other hand, it does not change the DNA sequence but can get passed down to the following generation. The epigenetics concept has changed the way of the nature versus nurture issue because it brought the idea that genes are not only DNA that you get from parents but can be altered depending on the environment that one is exposed to.
2. A.) In the article why genes aren’t destiny by John Cloud, presents evidence on how epigenetics work in the body and the effects it has on each individual. The article explains a research by Olov Brygen. One of them was done on children that went from a “normal” diet to gluttony because of colder weather.
