I’m in Ivy League,: is something a student in the Ivy League Mentorship program would say. The statement bears heavy weight to it and someone familiar with the program can easily get a sense of who that person is. The Ivy League Mentorship program (Or IMP) is an exclusive scholars program in my school. Ivy League kids not only get special ACT practice, but also get invited to seminars, college tours, and and out of town trips. I am in my school’s Ivy League Mentorship program, and this is how it's changed who I am today. My school’s Ivy League Mentorship program is exclusive to only the top students in each respective grade in high school. We are the ones that stand out, and are treated in a high academic regard from our fellow students and educators. IMP students also have a very good relationship with the teachers. Rarely do you ever see an IMP student get hit with disciplinary action. People hold me in high academic regard thanks to my membership in IMP. My time in Ivy League has changed me forever. Before being into IMP, I’d never been out of state. Just the out of state trips have sharpened my horizon. The out of country have trips completely reimagined how I thought about the rest of the world. The seminars helped me explore what I wanted to do in life. Finally, the leadership camps molded me into the leader I am today. Without IMP, I wouldn’t be the same person I am today. I am who I am today because of IMP. The experiences I’ve had in IMP have really changed my view of the world. Every thing from the ACT practices to the out of town trips were all enlightening. Due to the program’s reputation around the school, people also hold me in higher regard. Before, I was just another student, but now, people take me seriously. Thanks to IMP, I have also been molded into a leader. I would be a completely different person today were it not for the Ivy League Mentorship program.
