David Blaine, magician and illusionist, is notorious for his endurance stunts. He has buried himself alive in a clear tomb, and has even frozen himself in a block of ice for three days. During his TedTalk, Blaine discusses his next challenge: seeing how long he could survive without breathing. He describes the different techniques he attempts in order to create the illusion of holding his breath, such as putting a tube inside his body to somehow circulate air so that he could rebreathe it. He also explains how this and several other attempts failed. Then, Blaine discusses how he actually practiced and trained to hold his breath for a long period of time, instead of merely creating the illusion of it.
