On September 11th 2001 terrorist took control of two planes, deliberately crashing them into the World Trade Centers in New York, which claimed nearly 3,000 lives. This attack had many fearing for their lives & grieving for their loved ones. 9/11was known to be "The War On Terror" a united threat legally, politically and ideologically. In response the Anti-Terrorism Act amended the Criminal code. On October 15th ATA introduced itself as Bill C-36 then was updated as Bill C-51 in 2015. Bill C-51 is a commitment to the safety of all Canadians and enhances Canada's ability to meet its international duties, while respecting the Countries values and rights stated in the Canadian charter or rights and freedoms.
