The author Andrew Marvell tries to convince his “coy mistress” into giving him her passion and then giving up her virginity. He is using her because she is wanting someone to love and to admire, she is in fear of losing her beauty and she is trying to hang on to her youth and is trying to persuade her that he is in love with her. He is putting a lot of pressure on her and having her believe that they have little time together.
In Marvell first approach, at first he seems genuine because he has led to believe that he will love forever if the time allow.
