HORSEHEADS (WENY) - The Horseheads Police Department is searching for a man who they say forcibly entered a home on the 900 block of West Broad Street.
Around 9:52 A.M. the Horseheads Police responded to a report of a burglary in which the burglar displayed what appeared to be a hand gun. The suspect fled the area after stealing property from the home. The man is described as having a medium or olive skin tone and a large build. He was wearing black clothing, dark colored boots and a mask that partially covered his face. Police say the suspect fled the residence and headed towards Westinghouse Road.
Law enforcement advised the Horseheads Central School District to go on a lock-out. Which meant class went on as normal but no one was allowed
