The Han dynasty was considered to be one of the few golden ages of China. The technological Innovation, medicinal advances, strong military, and Confucian philosophy created peace and economic stability throughout China. The Han dynasty was one of the most successful dynasty's in China. It was established by rebel leaders who fought for power. Liu Bang won, and was named emperor of China, creating one of the most successful dynasty's and golden ages, the Han dynasty. It took many years for Liu Bang to control the people of China, but when he did, he made a dynasty that would be peaceful for decades. They were able to take over a vast amount of land with their large military and innovative technology. The Han dynasty was an era with economic prosperity. The innovation of technology and techniques spread throughout the Silk Road in China making it the center for trade. Unlike most dynasty's in China, taxes were lowered on peasants. The government even took land away from the wealthy and gave it to farmers to use as farmland. Iron was used to create weapons and armor for both the military and for the advanced hydraulic systems. China's Silk Road provides trade routes to Europe. Iron, food and medicinal techniques were traded. The stable economy in China kept the country prosperous, and the people happy. The Han dynasty flourished with innovation in technology. They developed iron making and hydraulic techniques that improved the society, and spread through the Silk Road. Iron was widely used in China during the Han dynasty. It was used for swords and protective gear in the military, and for building in China. A system of hydraulics was created that could reduce the flooding, and control the flow of water by digging into the riverbed.
